Commissioner for Belt and Road visited Thailand

The Commissioner for Belt and Road (CBR) made a visit to Thailand on 23 – 24 May 2017 principally to attend as a keynote speaker at the seminar titled “Belt and Road Initiative: Business opportunities for ASEAN”. The seminar was co-organised by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (ETO) in Singapore (Singapore ETO) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) with the support of Thai Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Thailand China Business Council, Thailand-Hong Kong Business Council and Thai Hong Kong Trade Association. It was one of the events for celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of HKSAR.

During the visit, CBR met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand, Vice Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office and Deputy Secretary General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs, Deputy Secretary General of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office and Senior Chairman of the Charoen Pokphand Group, to exchange views on the Belt and Road Initiative.
