Online Focus Networking Session on Overseas Economic and Trade Co-operation Zones

The Belt and Road Office of the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau (CEDB) and the Commercial Office of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government (CPGLO) in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) jointly held an online focus networking session on 7 June 2022 to promote partnership of Hong Kong enterprises with overseas Economic and Trade Co-operation Zones (ETCZs). The event introduced two ETCZs, namely the Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone and PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Indonesia China, and lined up interested Hong Kong enterprises with the ETCZs, with a view to fostering mutual collaboration for capitalising on the immense opportunities brought about by the Belt and Road Initiative.

The Deputy Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department and Head of the Commercial Office of the CPGLO in the HKSAR, Mr Liu Yajun; the Commissioner for Belt and Road, Mr Rex Chang; the President of Thai-Chinese Rayong Industrial Zone, Mr Zhao Bin; and the Deputy General Manager of PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Indonesia China, Mr Li Jifeng spoke at the event, which also featured a Q&A session to facilitate in-depth exchanges.
